Every year I make Christmas cookie boxes. And since last year I have also been making Christmas Macaron Boxes. Last year’s box can be seen here.

I also made a Christmas cookie box with assorted cookies (with two macaron flavors included). And you can see that box here.

Anyway, these years Holiday Macarons are really some of my favorites. I hope you like them too! And on the bottom of the post I am also including more holiday macarons ideas and other Christmas macaron flavors.

All of the macarons listed below are super festive macarons, made with a lot of love and perfect for sharing, specially in a beautiful Christmas Macaron Box!

Let’s begin with the first flavor at the top left corner.

Matcha Macarons

I chose to include these Matcha Macarons with my other Holiday Macarons because:

1- they’re green, perfect for Christmas themed macarons.

2- they are delicious, have a smooth and velvety taste, and remind me of sipping matcha latte on a cold afternoon by the Christmas tree.

Check out the recipe for the Matcha Macarons here.

Hazelnut Macarons

Next we have these festive Hazelnut Macarons, which are adorned with a bit of edible golden leaves, and a fun swirl of chocolate on top.

The shells are made with ground hazelnut as well as almond flour, and the filling is a Hazelnut German Buttercream.

What got these Hazelnut Macarons in this year’s Christmas Macaron Box was their festive and elegant look.

Peppermint Bark Macarons

These Peppermint Bark Macarons are probably my favorite holiday macarons of this season.

Not only because the Peppermint White Chocolate Ganache in the filling is insanely delicious, but because it’s one of those macaron flavors that’s pretty much only acceptable to serve and eat during the holiday season.

And that makes them pretty exclusive, which is nice and makes them very enjoyable, because I’ll spend all year craving for all things peppermint and candy cane!

Caramel Popcorn Macarons

These Caramel Popcorn Macarons definitely fit the holiday macarons category!

Caramel Popcorn is such a comfort food for this time of the year! I wrote this Caramel Popcorn Macarons recipe a couple of years ago. They have been a huge hit with a lot of my followers and readers! I hope you like it too!

Hot Chocolate Macarons

Oh I am sorry, did I say that the Peppermint Bark Macarons were my favorites of the holiday season? Ops, I spoke too early, these Hot Chocolate Macarons are definitely it!

They are filled with a Hot Cocoa Buttercream, and they are just what you need to cozy up by the Christmas tree, eating holiday macarons!

Creme Brûlée Macarons

These Creme Brûlée Macarons are perfect for the holiday season! We always make creme brûlée around Christmas time, it’s such a delicious flavor! The caramelized sugar on top, the creamy custard in the middle! It’s a treat for sure, so I decided to turn it into a macaron flavor.

So I included these Creme Brûlée macarons in my Christmas macaron flavor list!

Cranberry Macarons

These Cranberry Macarons had to make the cut for our Holiday Macaron Box! They are filled with an Orange Buttercream and Cranberry Sauce, and are perfect as a Christmas macaron flavor!

And these Cranberry Macarons also made the last Christmas Cookie Box I made last year, along with the Nutella ones.

  1. Hello –
I’m not working on trial #37 of macarons. I’ve done so many things to try to get them right. They’ve been perfect looking but too crunchy and hollow. They’ve been too soft, have exploded, been lopsided, been too browned, etc., etc., etc. I’ve written down everything, made small adjustments each time. I’m about to give up but I really don’t want to. I’ve read everything to the point where I feel like my meringue is fine, my batter is fine, my oven has been calibrated and I know exactly how it functions. I’ve adjusted temperature, ingredient ratios, added corn starch, used cream of tartar, my humidity gauge is being used. Ugh! Are there people that can never get this right? I feel like a total idiot. What can you tell me to keep me encouraged to keep going. I’m starting to really despise macarons.

    1. do you have any pictures of your macarons you can send me? document your steps, take pics of the meringue, of the batter, perhaps even a video of how the batter is flowing off the spatula, and then send them to me via instagram dm or email (camila @ piesandtacos . com) and I can help you out. And no I don’t believe that there are people who can never get it right, but I believe some people give up before getting there. You can do this if you want to. I can help send me an email or instagram dm with pics and videos and we will try to troubleshoot it.

  2. I’ve pretty much perfected the macaron shells (after dozens of unsuccessful attempts) and now I’m planning my holiday cookies. I’m most interested in the materials used to construct this box. What type of box did you use? And where did you get the small boxes to fit perfectly inside? I’m thinking I could get a bigger decorative box and use my cricut to cut cardstock to make the small boxes fit perfectly. How did you do it?

  3. Yea! Your recipe is what I needed to succeed! I cannot wait to make Christmas macaron boxes this year. Your recipes are perfect and absolutely lovely! Thank you so very much.
