Hello friends! This is my final Christmas Cookie Box of the season! Wrapping up this year in style! And of course, this one involves Macarons! So I hope you enjoy my Christmas Macarons and the beautiful box I made with them!
So, last week I posted a couple of Christmas Cookie Boxes
The first one was a big huge cookie box with 8 cookies and treats in it. You can see it here. It included 3 macaron flavors also, and one of them which is also featured in this Christmas Macaron Box I am showing you today.

The other box was a Vegan Christmas Cookie Box.
Anyway, let’s talk about all the Christmas Macarons that went in this amazing cookie box I bring to you today!
Gingerbread Macarons
These Gingerbread Macarons were a big hit! They are filled with Gingerbread Buttercream. Topped with festive sprinkles! The perfect Christmas Macaron flavor!
Butterbeer Macarons
Butterbeer Macarons, yes as in Harry Potter’s famous Butterbeer! Now you can have it in the form of Macarons. I felt like Butterbeer would be the perfect Christmas Macaron flavor, since Harry Potter always has such a Christmassy feeling to me. Could also be a good flavor for Halloween, or New Years.
Peppermint Macarons
Next up, we have Peppermint Macarons! Peppermint is the perfect Christmas Macaron flavor, isn’t it? I had to include it in this box! Plus, the swirls are so much fun!
Vegan Matcha Macarons
I don’t have the recipe for these Vegan Matcha Macarons posted yet. I am posting it this week. However, I already have a non-vegan Matcha Macaron recipe on my blog, it was my very first Macaron recipe I ever published on the blog, and one of my most popular macaron recipes. The green of the Matcha Macarons really gives a festive vibe to the box, don’t you think?
Eggnog Macarons
This Eggnog Macarons are THE ultimate Christmas Macaron flavor! I made them to include in my Christmas Cookie Box, and then froze them, and they kept wonderfully in the freezer. THIS is the container I use to store my macarons in the freezer!
Pecan Turtle Macarons
And lastly, Pecan Turtle Macarons went in the box! They are filled with Pecan Caramel Buttercream, topped with a Pecan Turtle Candy! Tell me they are not completely holiday appropriate!
So, which one was your favorite from the box? I have to confess, mine is the Pecan Turtle flavor! Totally the best!
Anyway, here are some more suggestions of Macarons that could totally go for Christmas Macarons for your holiday baking:
- Cranberry Macarons
- Pear Macarons
- Apple Macarons
- German Chocolate Macarons
- Brownie Macarons
- Cherry Macarons
- Toffee Macarons
- Christmas Cactus Macarons
- Tiramisu Macarons

I hope you enjoyed all of my Christmas Macarons, and my cookie boxes! Thanks for stopping by! Have a magical holiday!
Queria uma caixa dessas pro natal!!!!!!
Curious how you found the materials to assemble the boxes? Did you make this somehow or purchase it as a set? Such a cute way of gifting cookies!
I actually went in my kitchen cabinets looking for boxes, and found boxes of these cute saucers I had, boxes of food coloring, then I cut them and trimmed them to make them the size for this cookie box 🙂
Are any of these stable enough to be a part of a cookie box that won’t be refrigerated?
perhaps only the gingerbread one, if you dont use milk in the frosting and use water instead. but even then it would only be ok for a couple of days. I never not refrigerate my macarons.
Where did you get those adorable tiny gingerbread men you used on the gingerbread cookies?
they are from Wilton 🙂
Do you freeze your macarons when they are ready with the filling and the top decorations please?
yes i do!
If I making this box of Macarons for a Christmas gift, how far in advance can I make them and how do I store them until I’m ready to give them away?
You can make macarons up to even 2 months in advance, depending on the filling. Wet fillings like jam or curd may make the macarons soggy faster. In the fridge macarons will last about 4-5 days (some people leave even up to 7 days or a bit longer), and in the freezer for about 1 to 2 months. Always keep them in an air tight container.
Do you sell your cookie boxes? If so, how much. Are we able to mix and match?
I don’t sell any macarons, sorry
Your recipe and the instructions are the best Camila. Thanks so much for this website.
Happy Christmas & New Year to you and your family.!
Thank you so much and same to you!!!
Hi Camila, thank you for all the knowledge you’re always sharing. I have a question, is it possible to turn your buttercream filling recipes into cream cheese based fillings? I don’t like buttercream and it’s hard to find cream cheese recipes, so I wondered if I could adapt the buttercream recipes and turn them into cream cheese based ones.
Thank you!
Yes, but even when making cream cheese frosting I still add butter to it, you can see some of my cream cheese fillings here: https://www.piesandtacos.com/pride-macarons/, https://www.piesandtacos.com/red-white-and-blue-macarons/ and I have a lot more with cream cheese frosting too, it works great!!
How do you get your white macarons so white? Seems everything I try, mine all have brown tinge from the oven!
I add food grade titanium dioxide
