PIES AND TACOS
This Mini Baked Brie Appetizer is a delightful twist on the classic baked brie, offering all the elegance and flavor in convenient, party-ready bites!
Place the puff pastry on a lightly floured counter. Use the rolling pin to roll it into a 1/8” thick dough. Cut into 12 4-inch squares.
Place each puff pastry square into a muffin pan cavity, letting the edges overhang slightly. Optional: If desired, you spoon 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce or jam on the bottom of each dough square. See variations below for other flavor combinations.
Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the tops of each pastry with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
When ready to bake, place the muffin tins in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
Remove from the oven and allow the mini brie bites to cool for 5-10 minutes. Place on a serving platter with a decorative array of grapes, nuts, and other fruits.
Tip: Allowing the mini baked brie appetizers to cool slightly before slicing prevents the cheese from oozing out too quickly.
These mini versions are perfect for gatherings, where guests can easily enjoy a single serving without the need to slice or share.
