The baker, recipe developer, and creator behind Pies & Tacos.
I am so excited to have you here. I created this blog to share delicious recipes with the world. My passion is to create beautiful and incredible desserts that anybody can make at home!
Iโve been baking for many years, and what began as a personal love for desserts gradually grew into a deep interest in understanding how baking truly works. Over time, that curiosity turned into a passion for teaching, testing, and sharing recipes that home bakers can rely on.

My Baking Journey
Iโm originally from Brazil, and baking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in my grandmaโs bakery just down the street from where I lived.
What started in my own kitchen slowly evolved into something more intentional as I began experimenting with recipes, learning new techniques, and challenging myself with more technical desserts.
Over time, baking became less about following instructions and more about understanding the why behind each step. I spent years researching, testing, and learning through both successes and failures.
As I baked more, I noticed how often home bakers, including myself, struggled โ not because they lacked ability, but because recipes didnโt explain why certain steps mattered. That realization played a big role in the creation of Pies & Tacos.
The site became a place where I could share not only recipes, but also the understanding behind them, as well as a great creative outlet.

My Areas of Expertise
Over the years, Iโve become especially known for my work with macarons and technical desserts.
Macarons are one of the most challenging desserts for home bakers, and I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex processes into clear, manageable steps. Alongside macarons, Iโve also gone deep into cupcakes, cheesecakes, puff pastry, and layered cakesโoften choosing one category at a time to obsess over, refining flavors and techniques until
I can create what I believe is the very best version of that dessert. I develop a wide range of recipes designed to work consistently and taste great, whether theyโre simple classics or more advanced bakes.
Why I Do This
Helping others bake with confidence and joy is at the heart of everything I do.
Whether someone is baking their first cake or tackling a technical dessert for the tenth time, I want them to feel supported, informed, and proud of what they create.
Pies & Tacos is where I share what Iโve learned, continue learning myself, and connect with a community of bakers who care about quality, effort, and great results.
How I Develop Recipes

Every recipe I publish is one Iโve made multiple times in my own kitchen.
Iโm a self-taught baker, and my experience comes from years of independent learning, research, and a lot of trial and error. I test recipes over and over, paying close attention to technique, ingredient behavior, and small details that affect the final result.
Through this process, Iโve learned that baking success often comes down to understanding why something works, not just following steps. Thatโs why I focus on explaining techniques clearly and sharing the insights Iโve gained through hands-on experience, so others can bake with confidence and fewer frustrations.

She attended Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in Sรฃo Paulo, Brazil. And she is getting ready to release a romance novel trilogy called the Sunfalls series.
