PIES AND TACOS

sheet puff pastry egg coarse sugar filling of choice (cream cheese filling, nutella, or others) plus berries
Cook Time: 20 Min
Unfold the pastry sheet, cut into 9 squares. Draw a circle in the center of the pastry. Don't cut all the way through!
Cut a slit going from the outer edges of this circle in the center to the corner. Be sure to leave some room in the center, so you can fill it with the filling of choice before baking.
Spoon from 1 to 2 teaspoons of filling in the center of each pastry. I am using this delightful Cream Cheese Filling for Pastries recipe.
Place four berries at the tip of each triangle, around the edges of the filling. Fold every other corner to the center.
Place another berry right in the center to hold the folded dough down. Brush the egg wash on top of the pastry dough. Sprinkle coarse sugar on top of the dough.
Bake in the pre-heated oven, until golden brown, and puffed up. Remove from the oven and let it cool briefly before serving.
