Chocolate Chip Cake

This melty chocolate chip-studded cake is sure to be a new favorite.

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl. In another, beat butter, sugar, and olive oil until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.

Mix in sour cream until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix on low until just combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips.

Pour batter into the pan, smooth the top, and bake for about 55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean or with moist crumbs.

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Heat the cream until steaming, then pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit a minute, then whisk until smooth and glossy.

Once the cake cools, pour ganache over the top and let it drip down the sides. Sprinkle with extra chocolate chips before it sets.

This can be served with morning coffee or even as an evening dessert.
