Ingredients
2/3cupschopped pecans
1tbspmelted butter
1/4cupbrown sugar
1/4cupdark corn syrup
1/2tspcinnamon
Topping
1eggwhisked
1/4cupgranulated white sugar
2tspcinnamon powder
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients together.
Roll out a puff pastry sheet and cut into rectangles.
Score a smaller rectangle on the center of each rectangle. You don't want to cut all the way through, but just score the top so the edges of the pastry will puff up once the pastry bakes.
Fill the center with a couple tablespoons of the pecan mixture.
Brush egg wash around the edges of the pastry. You can use just egg for the egg wash, or mix a bit of milk with the egg too.
Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon powder.
Sprinkle the sugar cinnamon mixture on top of the edges where you brushed the egg wash.
Bake at 375 Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Depending on your oven it might take a bit longer or a bit less. When the pastries are golden on top and on the bottom, they are done baking.
