PIES AND TACOS
This Strawberry Tres Leches Cake is a fruity twist on the classic Latin American dessert.
Before making the cake, prepare the strawberry puree to give the dessert its signature flavor.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl and set aside. Separate eggs. In a large bowl, whisk yolks with ¾ cup sugar and ¼ cup strawberry puree until pale and fluffy.
Stir in the milk and vanilla extract. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Beat egg whites with remaining ¼ cup sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold half into batter, then fold in the rest until smooth and airy.
Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best for maximum flavor).
Spread the whipped cream evenly over the chilled cake. For an extra decorative touch, use a piping bag to pipe swirls on top. Dust with freeze-dried strawberry powder for a vibrant finish.
Every bite will be bursting with sweet berry flavor.
