Short Ribs Pie

This Short Ribs Pie features a flaky crust, and a very tasty short ribs filling. The ribs are braised in the oven, at a low temperature, for a long time, until they are falling apart.

If you know a little about me, you know I am not a huge meat fan. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life. In any case, my husband is a huge carnivore.

So, I try to make up to him by making him some delicious meat recipes such as this Short Ribs Pie. This is the ultimate comfort food.

First, you slowly cook the ribs in the dutch oven, braising at a low temperature. I cooked mine for about 4 and a half hours.

After cooking the ribs in the oven, I like to let them cool for a bit, then shred them with a fork, and store in the fridge overnight. So this way they can set, and develop flavor.

You don’t want to fill your pie when the ribs are hot, or they will start to melt the butter in the pie crust. And that will be disastrous!

I really hope you like this recipe and the comfort it brings. Swipe up to get the full recipe!
