Add sweetened condensed milk to a pan with one tbsp of butter.

Here is where you add the flavoring, could be chocolate chips, coconut, nutella, or, in today's recipe: pumpkin puree.
In the case of the pumpkin brigadeiro, you could also add 1/2 tsp of pumpkin spice.

Cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat.

The thing with brigadeiro is that you can't stop stirring at any point while cooking.

Once cooked, let it cool down completely.

Scoop small amounts of brigadeiro, I like to make them about 1.25" big.

Roll it into a smooth ball between buttered or oiled hands.

Coat the brigadeiro in sugar. You could add a bit of pumpkin spice to the sugar before rolling.

Use a toothpick to make creases to resemble a pumpkin.
