PIES AND TACOS
These Pecan Brownies are a decadent treat, featuring creamy white chocolate and crunchy pecans in every bite.
Melt white chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl using 15–30 second microwave bursts or a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
Add granulated sugar and whisk. Add eggs one at a time, whisking each until combined. Then add the egg yolk and vanilla, and whisk again.
Add flour, cardamom (if using), and salt. Mix gently on low or fold in until just combined. Fold in chopped pecans evenly.
Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 35 minutes, until edges are set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
If the top browns too fast, loosely cover with foil. After baking, cool brownies completely in the pan on a wire rack.
They’re a white chocolate lover’s version of a classic brownie!
They’re like a pecan pie and a brownie had a delicious love affair, with a hint of cardamom adding cozy warmth and depth to each bite.
