In Spanish dulce means sweet, and leche means milk. The translation would be something like: “candy (or dessert) made from milk”Dulce de leche is basically a caramel made from sweetened milk. It can be made several different ways.
On my website I have 4 different methods explaining how to make dulce de leche: from a can of sweetened condensed milk in the instant pot, in the oven, or in the slow cooker, or from milk and sugar on the stovetop.
Dulce de leche is absolutely delicious and you can use it for many things! Sometimes even to just eat it with a spoon, arguably the best way of them all.
