This Chai Cake is the ultimate treat for lovers of warm spices and cozy desserts.

To create this flavorful blend, mix ground cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, and an optional pinch of black pepper.

Heat milk with chai tea bags. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and chai spice until smooth. Slowly pour in warm milk while whisking to temper the eggs.

Return the mixture to the pan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick like pudding. Stir in vanilla, cover with plastic wrap, and chill completely before using.

Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and chai spice in a bowl. In another bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds, then add sugar and beat for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla. Mix in half the dry ingredients, then milk, then the rest. Mix gently. Spread in the prepared pan.

Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before proceeding.

Pipe the chilled Chai Pastry Cream into the holes, ensuring each slice delivers a burst of creamy filling.

Spread the frosting over the top of the cake like shown in the images above, smoothing it with a spatula. Sprinkle additional chai spice powder on top for decoration and an extra flavor boost.
