Baked Brie

PIES AND TACOS

This Baked Brie with puff pastry is the ultimate party starter, combining creamy, melty brie with a flaky, golden crust.

For this recipe you can make homemade puff pastry using this recipe. Making your own is a rewarding challenge that gives you complete control over the ingredients and texture. Plus it’s a lot easier than you think!

Once thawed, roll the pastry into a 12-inch square, about 1/8-inch thick on a lightly floured surface.

Place the wheel of brie in the center of the rolled-out puff pastry, topping with the jam of your choice! Cranberry sauce, apricot jam, honey, or fig jam, are some of my favorites.

Wrapping and Baking Fold the puff pastry over the brie to fully encase it, using beaten egg along the edges to help seal the pastry. Score the top of the dough gently, being careful not to cut through.

Brush the entire pastry with egg wash for a golden, glossy finish. Use a knife to score the pastry, without cutting through the dough. Then bake for 35-40 minutes in the preheated oven until golden and crispy.

Serving Suggestions: Let the baked brie rest for 5-10 minutes before placing on a serving platter and slicing into that melty cheese goodness! Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or apple wedges for dipping and enjoy this festive and flavorful spread.

This dish is a crowd-pleaser that’s easy to make and sure to impress guests.
