PIES AND TACOS
This Mini Baked Brie Appetizer is a delightful twist on the classic baked brie.
Place the puff pastry on a lightly floured counter. Use the rolling pin to roll it into a 1/8” thick dough. Cut into 12 4-inch squares.
Place puff pastry squares into muffin pan cavities, letting edges hang over. Optionally, add 1/2 to 1 tsp of cranberry sauce or jam to each.
Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the tops of each pastry with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
When ready to bake, place the muffin tins in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
Remove from the oven and allow the mini brie bites to cool for 5-10 minutes.
Tip: Allowing the mini baked brie appetizers to cool slightly before slicing prevents the cheese from oozing out too quickly.
These mini versions are perfect for gatherings.
